Hi, I’m Tris!
Nice to meet you!

UX Designer · Photographer · Video Game Critic

A full-time adult following his dream of improving people’s lives, one design at a time. I like transforming usability data into creative design stories that bridge the gap between people and products.

The Unsureness of The Future depicts a road sign with a portion missing. An arrow can be vaguely made out but what exactly it is pointing towards is unknown. A seemingly mundane yet slightly ambiguous object, the sign showcases the artist's feelings of trepidation and uncertainty when he first embarked on his UX journey. The yellow against the black and white backdrop symbolizing both the need to exercise caution mixed in with an unexplained sensation of optimism and hope. Does he choose to follow the arrow? Or go down a more certain and established path instead?

As a designer, I am a data-driven creative whose design approach is strongly influenced by psychology and a deep understanding of human behavior. I am not afraid to ask “why” and gain a deeper understanding of where certain design aspects succeed or fail and finding new ways to improve them. I treat every new design project as a welcome challenge – like I am given a new jigsaw puzzle and it is up to me to piece it together to form a picture that not only meets key business objectives, but also one that people can understand and resonate with profoundly.

As a writer, I consider my style to be versatile yet personal. Each piece I write is like a unique “atlas of words” pieced together by a wide gamut of human emotions. Sometimes serious. Sometimes witty. But every word is intentional and is used as a way for me to establish a strong and sincere connection with my audience. I love exploring many different topics and finding a way to relate them back to our own human experiences. Ultimately, my goal as a writer is not only to inform and entertain, but to provide a space for self-reflection and inspire self-introspection to help people understand themselves better.
